Use Whyzit in your AI assistant

Ask your AI assistant for a film, and Whyzit makes it and plays it in the chat. Whyzit connects through MCP, the Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets an assistant use tools from other apps.

What you need

A Whyzit account. You sign in with email or with Google when you connect, and every new account includes two free films.

Every assistant uses the same server address:

Claude

Works on claude.ai and in the Claude desktop app.

Open Claude and go to Customize, then Connectors.
Choose Add custom connector.
Name it Whyzit and paste https://app.whyzit.com/mcp.
Under Authentication, keep Sign in now. Under OAuth client, keep Use Claude's published identity. Claude picks both for you.
Press Add, then Connect. Sign in to Whyzit and allow access.
In a new chat, ask for a film, for example: Make a short film on how noise cancelling headphones work. Claude asks before it shows the player the first time. Allow it, and the film plays in the chat.

Codex

Works in the Codex command line tool. Add the server, then sign in:

codex mcp add whyzit --url https://app.whyzit.com/mcp
codex mcp login whyzit

The second command opens your browser. Sign in to Whyzit and allow access. Then ask Codex for a film. Codex shows no player, so it answers with a link that plays the film on Whyzit.

ChatGPT and Meta Muse Coming soon

Whyzit is coming soon to the connector directories in ChatGPT and in Meta Muse. When it is listed, you add it from the directory and sign in to Whyzit.

What Whyzit does in your assistant

Makes a new film for a question. Each new film uses one of your films.
Finds films that already answer a question, among your own films and the ones other people chose to publish.
Lists the films you have made and opens any one of them.
